Deirdre Parsons, MSc, PhD, GMBPsS
Executive Director

Deirdre has led DLF UK since its establishment in 2012, managing projects across diverse settings, from businesses to schools, universities, prisons, veterans, addiction recovery, homelessness charities, and the NHS. With more than 27 years’ experience as a TM teacher, she has made significant contributions to numerous research studies on Transcendental Meditation.

Sarah Bence

Sarah Bence
Fundraising and Partnerships Lead

Sarah has worked at the DLF UK since 2021 and brings a decade of experience in fundraising and project management at various charities and NGOs. She's also a TM teacher and has worked on projects with the military and NHS.

David has been a journalist since the 1980s, and has had articles in national and local publications including The Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail, the Daily Express, BBC Countryfile magazine, Natural Health magazine, and Choice magazine.

He has also been a TM teacher since 1975, and since 2012 he has worked with the David Lynch Foundation UK teaching TM in prisons, homeless centres, drug & alcohol rehabilitation centres, and to refugees and forces veterans with PTSD.

Joel Pimm
Social Media Manager

Joel loves utilising the power of social media to share our work and make Transcendental Meditation more accessible for those who need it. It has had a profound impact on his own personal life by helping reduce his anxiety and stress and making him a happier person! Alongside his work for the David Lynch Foundation UK, he works as an environmental consultant, working to conserve environmental richness, another cause he is passionate about.

Christine Curtis

Christine Curtis
Lead TM Teacher

Christine worked in the London Ambulance Service as a paramedic for 26 years before retiring and training as a TM teacher. She attributes her resilience and length of service in the role to her regular practice of TM which was a lifeline for her. Christine predominantly works on our project with emergency service staff.
