The Homeless
Addressing the rise of homelessness in the UK
The experience of homelessness is traumatic, isolating, and destructive, and homeless people are some of the most vulnerable and excluded in our society.
- Almost one in ten people have reported being homeless at some point
- Homeless people experience very poor physical and mental health. Statistics show that to 70% of homeless people have mental health problems
- 80,000 young people experience homelessness every year
While job availability and affordable housing are important, mental health is critical to preventing homelessness.
